Julia Wright, the daughter of author Richard Wright, calls on all people to sign the Color of Change petition demanding Mumia Abu-Jamal's release:

In 2013, both the late President Mandela and Archbishop Tutu called for Mumia Abu-Jamal's immediate release and that was before he almost died of Hep C and developed cirrhosis of the liver, before he was diagnosed with congestive heart disease and before the pandemic.

Today the biggest trade union in South Africa, The National Union of Metalworkers (NUMSA), has called on all unions worldwide to join the campaign to save Mumia's life.

Mumia has been a voice for the voiceless since 14 years of age.

Today those he spoke up for worldwide are sending him the breath he needs to stay alive

Today George Floyd's eight minutes and forty six seconds may begin at any time for Mumia and the boot on his neck is the corrupt Pennsylvania criminal justice system Larry Krasner embodies.

I call on all people to sign the Color of Change petition as we continue to demand Mumia Abu-Jamal's release.
